With all the trade deadline rumors swirling, and our hopes to improve maybe in the swirl, I was wondering what we would have to give up for Greinke.
I can't imagine that the Brewers would let him go without centering the trade around Teheran. I know he has regressed this season, but I think there is confidence that he will turn it around at some point.
Greinke hopefully has the anxiety issues behind him, but there would be elevated expectations from him in Atlanta; especially if he costs us a ton. I also assume that we wouldn't give up major compensation without signing him to an extension. Would the Braves offer more than the Brewers offered him, $20M for 5 years (supposedly).
I like the idea of making a big splash at the deadline, but it also scares me somewhat. What say ye?
