Danville Braves @ Bluefield Blue Jays - Postponed

Last night's game was rained out and will be made up today as part of a doubleheader.

GCL Braves 2, GCL Yankees 7

  • Joey Meneses, DH: 2-4, 2B, R, .264
  • Justin Black, LF: 2-4, .197
  • Roberto Estrella, SP: 3.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R (3 ER), 3 BB, 2 K, 4.91 ERA

Roberto Estrella had another rough start for the GCL Braves as they lost to the GCL Yankees yesterday. Estrella started but couldn't get out of the 4th inning, allowing 3 earned runs on hits and 3 walks over 3.1 innings. His defense did him no favors either, as an error allowed the Yankees to plate a 4th run. Joey Meneses and Justin Black were the only Braves to record multi-hit games. Meneses was 2-4 with a double and a run, while Black had a pair of singles. Black, who started the season ice-cold, is now 5-12 over his last 4 games with a pair of walks, signs that he may be starting to come around.

The GCL Braves take on the GCL Yankees again at noon today, with probables not yet announced.
