Ben Sheets Will Start Sunday For The Atlanta Braves

Stay connected for news and updates

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that pitcher Ben Sheets will make his first start for the Atlanta Braves this Sunday, against the New York Mets. Talking Chop reported last night that this would likely be the case after Sheets' start in Mississippi yesterday.

Sheets will follow Tim Hudson and Tommy Hanson in the rotation, and be followed by Jair Jurrjens. The team will then make a decision whether to go with Randall Delgado or Mike Minor as the fifth starter. Our poll question today asks you which of those two pitchers you would leave in the rotation.

In other Braves pitching news, reliever Peter Moylan moves from Orlando and the Gulf Coast League (Rookie ball) up to low-A to join the Rome Braves. Moylan is scheduled to pitch this weekend in Rome.
