Brandon Beachy underwent successful "Tommy John" surgery today to reconstruct the partially torn UCL in his right elbow.

Glad it went well. I look forward to seeing him pitch again, probably after the All-Star break next season. It's going to be a long recovery, I hope he stays positive through the whole thing. There are enough pitchers around the team who have undergone the procedure recently that he should have plenty of folks to lean to help him know what to expect.
