Braves quotes after sweep at Colorado | Atlanta Braves
Fredi Gonzalez, on Freddie Freeman: "I think the biggest compliment that anybody could give Freddie Freeman was Chipper the other day, he came in and said, I think this is your 3-hole hitter for a long time. And for Battleaxe to say that, that’s a helluva compliment. I don’t think you can say anything more than that."

Braves get their first Coors Field sweep since ‘03 | Atlanta Braves
"A real good outing for Beach and for the pitching staff," said manager Fredi Gonzalez, whose Braves moved to a season-high seven games above .500 (18-11). "Got to kind of resemble a baseball game instead of the last two nights. We’re leaving here with the bullpen in kind of decent shape. It doesn’t happen very often."

Starter-turned-reliever Livan loving life in 'pen | braves.com: News
Livan Hernandez admits he was somewhat hesitant when he signed with the Braves with the knowledge that he would be primarily used as a long reliever. But while spending the past month getting his first taste of life in the bullpen, the veteran pitcher said he might spend a few more years enjoying this relief role. "I have fun in the bullpen with the guys and we are laughing and watching the game, I enjoy every moment," Hernandez said. "I started to like it. Maybe I'll do this job for a [few] more years."

Hinske a valuable asset on Braves' bench | braves.com: News
"My main focus is that when I do start, I do something to help the team win that day," Hinske said. "I'm just trying to have great at-bats, play defense and play the game the right way."

Durbin settling into a groove in bullpen | braves.com: News
"Relievers are like good three-point shooters in basketball," Durbin said. "When they get hot, you just keep riding guys out there. I've seen that for years. Guys complain about getting used, but they also complain about not getting used. If you're going good, they're going to ride you until you give it up."

Pastornicky shares past with Moyer's son | braves.com: News

Chipper Jones: Jamie Moyer off base about sign stealing | braves.com: News
Jones revealed on Sunday morning that his anger increased when he learned Moyer came to the plate in the bottom of the fifth and told McCann, "that's how people get hurt" in reference to his belief that some Atlanta players were stealing signs. "At that point, I told [Todd] Helton and Tulo to tell [Moyer], because he was already out of the game by then after those 900-foot homers with nobody on base," Jones said. "I said he could meet me in the tunnel to discuss it and I never heard back."
