This past week has seen Braves regulars Chipper Jones and Freddie Freeman return to the lineup and recover from their mild early spring injury setbacks. Now we get news of another injury in the Atlanta clubhouse:
Arodys Vizcaino has not pitched since Sunday because of discomfort in his right elbow. An MRI exam showed inflammation around the elbow. The 21-year-old reliever will rest a few more days before being reevaluated. But for now, the team does not seem too concerned.
Hopefully this isn't serious, but any elbow injury in a young pitcher is always worrisome. I imagine the Braves will be extra cautious with the talented young Vizcaino.
