So...Chipper got fat. Definitely not ITBSOML material.. Easily the worst shape I've seen him come into camp in during his career. Not what you want to see from your 40 year old third baseman who's looking to play another few years...

Call me crazy.....
…but I don’t see a noticeable difference in his build from last year in that picture. He’s gotten bigger these past 3 years, but that looks like the Chipper from last year imo. Gonna need more pictures, I suppose….
"Gonna need more pictures, I suppose…."
Is that a fat joke? Like, Chipper is so fat, it takes three pictures to capture all of him.

That’s what he should have been doing when they asked if wanted desert with his meal

Seriously...
I’ve seen this and all the other pictures on AJC, and I really don’t see much difference from last year. He’s still better than any other 40 year old in the MLB, that’s for sure.

Nah, the photos I've seen show usual Chipper.
Can I just add that this made me smile.

Don't let the slimming dark uniforms fool you

Chip is fat

Again
He looks the same to me as he did last spring. He’ll slim down as ST progresses. Those workouts can be relentless, even for Hall of Famers.

DOB said that he’s never seen any Brave in as good a shape as Heyward is this spring.

I'll take him for his word
but isn’t he only beating himself in that category? haven’t we heard this before
Spring Training is the greatest thing that can't end soon enough
Heyward’s a freak.
No Brave has even come close to him physically since…well ironically enough, a young Chipper. I can’t think of anyone else. Ron Gant, maybe? Klesko?
