Thinking of the 'Screamin'' cap and thought of something...

The Braves should change the logo on the front of the jersey at select home games...

Rather than use the 'Braves' name, they use a word which denotes a similar figure from the various tribes which once lived in the area that is now Georgia. This would not only draw attention the fact that Native people were diverse even in small regions but that their cultures survived to this day and are still vibrant. Not only that, but think of all the money to be made from various jersey sales!

In addition to the word change across the jersey, the Braves could also put on a seal of the specific tribe for the word used or some other type of imagery associated with the tribe. They should also obviously ask for permission from each tribe before using the tribe's language or imagery.

The team could even take some of the proceeds and create some type of charitable organization which helps preserve Native cultures or helps Native communities in some other way.

This change would be something that all of us as Braves fans could be proud of being a part of. Just my two cents as a citizen concerned with preserving cultures in order to maintain the abundance of diversity in opinions and worldviews our great nation has to offer.
