Kris Medlen won his second straight pitcher of the month award, while Craig Kimbrel earned Delivery Man of the Month.

The accolades for the young Atlanta Braves pitchers continue to roll in. For the second straight month starting pitcher Kris Medlen was named the National League Pitcher of the Month. He is the first Braves hurler to win the award in back-to-back months since Greg Maddux accomplished the feat in 2001.

Med Dog went 4-0 in September, striking out a Major-league high 46 batters with a 1.26 ERA. Mike Minor was also considered for the award, as he too went 4-0 with an even better 0.87 ERA. Craig Kimbrel was considered as well, though he ended up winning the Major League Baseball Delivery Man of the Month award, presented to the best reliever.

Kimbrel was 3-0, and converted all 10 of his save opportunities. He struck out 25 in 12.2 innings, while only allowing 2 walks and 6 hits. This is the second time Kimbrel has won the award, having won it last year.
