Heyward and Bouncing Back
Nothing too original here, but is he really the injury risk that so many claim? His thumb injury in 2010 was a complete and utter fluke, wasn't it? The shoulder injury and the minor shin splints apply, but people keep bringing up that thumb injury like it was something that's going to plague him forever....

Heyward v. Mays
There stats look eerily similar the first two seasons and Mays’ 3rd season he busted out. Now having said that Heyward could continue to stink but I really think he’s gonna bounce back in a huge way.
This is true but incredibly deceptive. This is anything but an apples to apples comparison with Mays. In Mays’ 2nd season he had 144 plate appearances and only played in 34 games. Heyward played in 128 games and had 454 plate appearances in 2011. We have no way at all to know what Mays would have done in similar plate appearances in his 2nd year but I’m willing to be that he would have been a lot better than J Hey.
