Entire Coaching Staff to Return
@ajcbraves
#Braves will bring back their entire coaching staff, manager Fredi Gonzalez said.
or in other words as Einstein so succinctly put it.
yeah nothing at all wrong with things this year so let's do it all over again. Really I'm fine with giving Fredi another year (I know many aren't) and McDowell is fine, but Parrish I can't believe is sticking around. That dude better read some how to hit books or something this winter because his approach - at least as shown by the hitters - was terrible.

explain to me what Larry Parrish did to keep his job
other than take one of the most talented lineups in the league and turn them into a sub-par offense. I know coaching apparently has a minimal effect on players, but I just don’t understand how across the board everyone’s numbers dipped, it has to be on the hitting coach…

It doesn't necessarily say that coaching roles would be the same.
Moving TP back to hitting coach seems like a welcome change back. He and Tosca supervised and positioned the players very well, they were nearly the most accurate squad defensively.
There's no way Parrish should be back.
Asbolutely no way in hell.
Hey Fredi,
you’re not the boss. If Frank Wren (or anyone else up the chain of command) wants your coaches gone, there’s not much you can do about it.
I wouldn’t expect Fredi to say anything different at this point anyway. As we saw in his reaction to the McDowell fiasco, he’s fiercely loyal to his coaches, even to a fault.

I now twitter as @junkstats and blog about made-up stats and general baseball stuff at JunkStats.
Hopefully Frank Wren is going to take a age out of the White Sox book.
Sgt.: Pointed stick? Oh, oh, oh. We want to learn how to defend ourselves against pointed sticks, do we? Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad. When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me! Now, the passion fruit.
I wish he acted as fiercely loyal to the players and to the fans.
Frankly Fredi needs to be the first one out the door, and Parrish needs to go find work with the Royals.
I miss senile ol’ Bobby. :(

Does Fredi even know if HE will be back next season?

#Braves will bring back their entire coaching staff from the 2010 season, manager Fredi Gonzalez said.
to be honest
and i know some will think I’m crazy but Larry Parrish may not be the problem.
Last year most people were saying basically the same thing about our offense. That they were underperforming and that we needed to fire Terry Pendleton. So this year we got a completely new hitting coach and what do you know people are saying the same things.
Last year the problem was:
LF: Melky/Diaz
CF: McLouth/Ankiel
This year:
RF: Heyward
LF: Prado
I left off SS because the production was about the same both last year and this year. Also McCann faded down the stretch last year as well. Both seasons Chipper missed time as well.
So basically both years 2 OF positions were the main culprits of low production. Add to that your SS being about league average and your starting 3B only playing 2/3 of the season then yes your offense will under produce. So therefore maybe its not Parrish’s fault or Pendleton’s fault. The biggest fault could be with Frank Wren. To see your manager have to throw a guy out in CF day after day with a sub .300 OBP why wait until July 31st to make a deal?
Anyhow. Food for thought.
May God have mercy on our souls.
