Braves quotes after Friday’s win over Nationals | Atlanta Braves
Fredi Gonzalez, on Bourn’s unusual rundown play in ninth: "That was a heads-up play by him. He kept his head up and saw that nobody was there, and he had a foot race with Ramos to the plate and took advantage of it. And Chipper did a nice job of staying in the rundown – and not getting hurt."

Hudson's cramping 'nothing serious' | braves.com: News
Hudson exited with two outs in the sixth inning and was taken to a local hospital to receive fluids. He has occasionally battled dehydration and cramping issues in the past. The Braves did not seem concerned about Hudson being able to make his next start.

Braves notes: Moylan has torn rotator cuff  | ajc.com
The enchanting story of Braves pitcher Peter Moylan took a troublesome turn Thursday when the Aussie reliever was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and labrum in his pitching shoulder. Moylan will Dr. James Andrews on Monday for a second opinion before a decision is made about surgery, which would probably keep him out for all or most of the 2012 season.

Braves' Moylan has torn labrum, rotator cuff | braves.com: News
Braves right-handed reliever Peter Moylan received some devastating news when an MRI exam performed on his shoulder Thursday revealed that he has a torn labrum and rotator cuff. Moylan will miss the remainder of this season and quite possibly at least a portion of the 2012 season.

Hanson cuts instructional league start short | braves.com: News
It appears it was a little too optimistic for the Braves to hope Tommy Hanson might be ready to make at least one potential playoff start. Hanson threw 41 pitches and completed just two innings before some discomfort around his right scapula forced him to halt his start in an instructional league game Friday. He had been hoping to complete three or four innings.

Hanson out after 2 innings; Medlen to be activated | Atlanta Braves
The Braves plan to activate Kris Medlen this weekend in Washington and add him to the bullpen, and left-hander George Sherrill could be close behind.

Still nursing the calf I guess.

May be a good thing. He came back on fire after a few days rest the last time he sat out.

I feel very sad about Moylan. He fought back to return only to have another serious injury shortly after…. :(

Maybe Hanson can still make it back, but it is sure looking more and more doubtful.

DOB update on TH

#Braves pitcher Hudson spent about 5 hours in hospital last night, got 5 bags of IV fluids. He’s back today, doing fine but tired.

don’t know for sure, but 5 bags seems like a lot. perhaps someone with actual knowledge about such matters could comment.
