I thought sidewinders are supposed to have less stress on their arms. Tough break for a guy easy to root for…

Just Beachy here. How 'bout you?

This could cost him next season

Heck, for Moylan, there’s a potential he’s done as a major leaguer. That’s a huge injury at this point, just coming off of a previous injury.

My buddy and I just decided that the braves would be set if we could get Matt Kemp, Jose Reyes, and Albert Pujols.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

My dad taught me how to make meat for sloppy joes and my mom let me turn over hot dogs on the grill.

Yeah bro, I read this on BigJoe’s blog earlier. Unfortunately, he is probably done.

People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.

I think that would be a safe bet.

also

Hanson pulled after the 2nd inning of his rehab start. He won’t pitch for the regular season.

Really? Damn. Can we put JJ and Medlen in a plastic bubble?

Sgt.: Pointed stick? Oh, oh, oh. We want to learn how to defend ourselves against pointed sticks, do we? Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad. When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me! Now, the passion fruit.

Odds are he won't be making starts for us in the postseason

THAT really ruins any optimism I might have about the playoffs.

shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit

Are you fucking kidding me? Why Baseball Gods? Is this for the 14 in a row? Is this for not selling out every home game like your darling Phillies do? This is cruel for Pete, the Braves, and their fans.

WHY??

Moylan can be replaced in the bullpen by Gearin(not sure why he isn’t there now to begin with) but Hanson is going to be tough to replace in the starting rotation.

good news on the day

Medlen could be back Sunday and Sherrill on Monday. Sherrill will be a huge asset against LHB in the post season

by drumzalicious on Sep 23, 2011 8:51 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

I think of Medlen not only as another above average arm to add to the arsenal but also as a good luck charm.

It’s too bad we can’t try sticking him in the rotation.

He was almost as good as Beachy last year.

Who was the first to say.....

Good pitching stops good hitting………..(but eventually someone has to score)..
and
You can never have enough good pitching…..(but the pitchers can’t do everything).
