In his last 10 games, the 22 year old is hitting .455 with a 1.263 OPS, 3 doubles, a triple, 2 homers, and 9 RBI. Evan Gattis had a pair of hits, extending his hitting streak to 6 games. That continues a trend of him getting better as the season has worn on, as he's hit .281 with a .735 OPS in the second half of the year after hitting .250 with a .680 OPS in the first half. Like La Stella, Jarrett Miller, selected in the 21st round of this year's draft, is having a fantastic debut season, with a 1.95 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 14.3 K/9 in 27.2 innings between Danville and Rome. The Braves saw a lot of promise in Tyler Stovall when they selected him in the 2nd round in the 2008 draft, but after allowing 6 earned runs today while recording just 1 out, he has a 5.63 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP in 48 innings with Rome, and has more walks, 45, thank strikeouts, 39. For his career, the 22 year old lefty has a 4.57 ERA, a 1.76 ERA, and 8.4 BB/9 in just 151.1 innings over 4 seasons.

The offense managed just 2 hits, which wasted some very good pitching. In 2 seasons in the DSL, Elvin Garcia, a 21 year old Nicaraguan lefty, has a 1.87 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP, and has shown impeccable control, with a ridiculous 0.6 BB/9 rate and an equally impressive 8.9 K/BB rate. Oriel L Caicedo, a 17 year old Panamanian, has had an impressive debut season, with a 2.21 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP in 57 innings.
