Atlanta Braves Blogger Confidence: Bourn To Pun Edition

  Bournondate_medium

Are you exhausted trying to form your own opinion about the Atlanta Braves. Well, have no fear, Talking Chop is here. Sit back, clear your mind, and let the TC bloggers tell you what to think and how to feel about this team. Special bonus this week as we find out what the Faux GM thinks as well, that's almost as good as what the real GM thinks.

Guest appearance by Ben Duronio from CAC There was not a player on the market that could have improved the team more than Bourn, and the Braves still have a rotation that's seven men deep and lost none of their top hitting prospects. Hard to imagine a day over the past four years where anyone could have more confidence in the Braves than today.
Danny Hong (royhobbs)
I'm hoping that the Braves offense will now make me slyly snicker and smile like hearing funny Bourno music rather than make me face palm like Gordon Ramsay.  7/10
Bennett Hipp (SCrebel10)
Atlanta went out and filled their need in center field with the best center fielder in baseball the past two and a half years. The only downside is that Fredi Gonzalez has been singing his own version of what he's entitled "Bourn to Run" for everyone to hear since the trade went down. Sorry Springsteen. Confidence level 8.5/10
Tony Almeyda
Freddie and Uggla are streaking, and the offense appears to be Bourn again with the acquisition of its new leadoff hitter. Confidence 9/10.
Scott Coleman
We have the fourth best record in baseball and we just added one of the more prolific center fielders and leadoff men in baseball. The injuries are a concern, but this team was Bourn to make the playoffs. (I'm sorry.) 9/10
Jack Moore (moorebraves)
The Braves front office restored some confidence by reaching an ultimatum with the 'stros, signing a supreme center fielder whose identity as a leadoff hitter will allow for the Braves to win a trilogy of games in the NLDS. 8.5/10
Matt Foreman (yondaime4)
The Braves need to take care of the lesser teams if we ever want to catch the Phils. The injuries are a little scary and Heyward has yet to put together an extended hot streak. The addition of Bourn is huge for this year and next and should lead to some Braves Supremacy. 8.5/10
Martin Gandy (gondeee)
A lot more folks in Atlanta might become Hard Core Bourn addicts after today. Just thinking about this trade gives me a chub. 8.5/10
C.B. Wilkins
It would have been nice to finish off a sweep of the Fish, but the Braves got their big win on Sunday by acquiring the type of dynamic leadoff hitter they haven't had since Rafael Furcal left, and did so without losing any of their elite pitching prospects. My confidence would be even higher if it weren't for all the Michael Bourn puns. 9/10
And our final guest blogger: @FauxFrankWren If the Braves second half of the season was a beer, it's 'Bourn On' date would be 01-Aug-2011. Stay thirsty my friends!

Also, thanks to the Faux GM for the swanky photo.
