Mets will look to re-sign Beltran after trade

Just a quick link to David Waldstein's article in the NYT in which he states that the Mets have already spoken to Satan's agent Scott Boras as to whether Carlos Beltran would consider signing  again with the Mets after he's traded this month. The answer was yes! Surprise. Beltran has part ownership of a Puerto Rican restaurant in New York (Sofrito) and yes he obviously loves New York.

I have to say that I'm always against trading young pitching in a deal for a rental player. I viewed J.D. Drew that way, everybody viewed Texira that way and I think we should judge Beltran that way. You kind of get a feel about teams and like the pre-Texira Braves I don't think this team can win the WS. Certainly without more production from CF which of course is where Beltran would help. 

However are you willing to see the team go into Citi  field next season having to face Beltran and Mike Minor?
