Billy Bullock

His splits are incredibly odd this year. He's lights out against lefties, much better on the road, and seems to like pitching during the day. So, a few questions...
1. Any weird/quirky things concerning Mississippi's park that he would have a hard time adjusting to at night?
2. Are his splits against lefties this year a fluke?
3. Anyone have a decent scouting report on this guy, personal or professional?

Basically, everything this year is in line with what he’s done in his career thus far, except his LOB%, which often times is a luck element. In fact, he has a better FIP this year than he did last year. He’s a guy whose ball jumps off the bat when contact is made because of the heat of his ball (someone on a Twins board described it as “light fast” in comparison to a heavy fastball. So he will always have an abnormally high BABIP for a pitcher, but he is a high-K pitcher. From what I can recall (can’t find the report where I’m remembering this from to link for you), Bullock isn’t a split to either side type of guy normally, so those splits surprise me.

Thanks for the insight. Looking through his game logs, he rarely gives up 1 run. In his rough games, he’s giving up 2,3,4 runs, but in his on games, he seems lights out with a very high K rate.
