Interesting set of circumstances, folks. Here in Charlotte, we weren't switched back to the Braves game after the delay. What I'll do for you is let you know what I've seen so far...
The Braves started the game like a collection of oversized little leaguers. Heyward let a sharp Elvis Andrus grounder get past him in right that scored Ian Kinsler from first and put Andrus on third. Josh Hamilton then reached on a soft grounder to first that Freeman booted and Uggla waited too long to toss over to first. Lowe gave up two runs in the first, and the poor defense continued. Hamilton got on base yet again in the third on a failed fielder's choice in which Diory Hernandez threw to second in a silly attempt to throw out the speedy Elvis Andrus. Both base runners ended up scoring in the inning.
The Braves two pre-restart runs came in the bottom half of the third. Derek Lowe helped himself out by getting the first hit of the game, and in fact the first ball Harrison let out of the infield. He doubled to right, and Schafer drove him in without an RBI as Nelson Cruz watched the Schafer drive bounce out of his glove in left. Dan Uggla got in on the two out, scoring action as he laced one down the left-field line to score Schafer from second.
The last I saw before waiting around two hours and NOT being kicked back to Atlanta was a Derek Lowe ground out to third in some heavy rain to make the second out of the Brave's half of the fifth. I'm sorry I can't fill you in on the rest of the game, but my recap would read just like the box score. I suggest you go to that if you've got the same problem that I do.
