So, do you want Placido Polanco to be the All-Star 3rd Baseman?
If not, get busy voting for your Braves for All-Star. Also, even though Posey is out, he's leading in votes for catcher. This must change.

My question:
How in the hell is Heyward 6th among outfielders? He hasn’t done much of anything all year, except strike out and get injured(again). Also, I bet McCann still won’t be the starting catcher. The media will just find another catcher to love, probably Molina.

As for Polanco,
why not him? I’d probably prefer Ryan Roberts at 3B, but really Polanco isn’t a bad choice. He’s certainly been better than Chipper has been, no offense to the Old Man (he’s still good, just not All-Star good).
The only Braves position player who even has a good argument to start the ASG is McCann. He’s no slam dunk, either, but he probably has the best case of any NL catcher.

Polanco's falling a bit
He was unsustainable hot to start the year, and he’s fallen back down to the level more where you’d expect him to be. But yeah, he’s not a terrible choice, if only because of attrition. Ryan Zimmerman has been hurt, David Freese was incredibly hot before he got hurt, Panda was hitting awesome until he got hurt, David Wright was playing while hurt, then went on the DL, even the Dodgers Casey Blake was hitting really well and then got hurt.
Plenty of time for someone else’s name to get into the mix along with Polanco’s, though.
My buddy and I just decided that the braves would be set if we could get Matt Kemp, Jose Reyes, and Albert Pujols.

Why not?
If Chipper’s not All-Star good, neither is Polanco, because their numbers are actually very similar. Chipper has more power and walks more, while Polanco hits more singles. They both have an OPS of .772. For whatever reason, Polanco has hit into twice as many double plays. As far as fielding, I only checked the conventional stats, and they are about equal there; I realize Polanco probably has better range. So I disagree that Polanco has “certainly been better than Chipper has been”.
All in all, the difference in their performance isn’t nearly wide enough for me to prefer a dirty, stinking Phillie with an unusually big head over the future Hall-of-Famer who plays for the Braves.
Maybe it’s just me.

Certainly been better than Chipper? Wow. I’d say they’ve been pretty similar so far this year. But unfortunately, folks seem to look at the batting average and stop the conversation.
Polanco has been playing quality baseball this season batting .321 with three home runs and 29 RBIs. Jones on the other hand is only batting .250 with four home runs and 29 RBIs.
That’s from Paul Rados’ (Yahoo!) column 3 hours ago. Chipper’s OPS is actually a couple of points HIGHER than Placido’s after last night’s games. Apparently Palanco has been a “quality” player, while Chipper sucks ass and is only getting votes because he’s a vet.
Polonco deserves to be starting 3B. Also Where the hell is Neil Walker for 2B?? McCann should be leading Catcher and will be. But not bad voting, not as lopsided as I thought

I love phenoms. Some of my favorite include Frason Freeward, Bratt Rymes, and Isaaron Murrell.
But I'm assuming there's a large quantity of Braves voters..
..heck idk who in the world is voting for Uggla, I would think that’s all fans BUT Braves country?
