We interrupt the Braves talk for some Talking Chop specific talk. Scott Coleman (mvhsbball) will be taking his talents to SBN Atlanta this week. He's done a great job for TC over the past year and he'll have an opportunity to keep SBNATL going strong on the Braves side. I wish him the best of luck.
With an opening in the series rotation, I'll be bringing on a new writer, Jack Moore (moorebraves). He's not a commenter you're familiar with, but he submitted a great writeup during spring training, so he's next in line. Here is his bio:
I was born in Greensboro, NC on September 10th, 1988 and will always consider the city to be my home. As a 2011 graduate of UNC, the only thing I didn't love about the school and the town of Chapel Hill was its unfortunate location outside of the Braves broadcast area (though the region lies safely within Braves Country, in my opinion). It was not until tenth grade that I gave up on my dream of being Mark Lemke 2.0, though sabermetrics and common sense pointed to quitting competitive baseball many years before. I have caught state record Smallmouth Bass in three different states and shot a course record 59 on Pinehurst no. 2, though none of this is formally or otherwise documented. A current resident of Charlotte, the only reason I would foresee moving from the great state of North Carolina would have something to do with the Braves organization. Go Heels. Go Braves. Go America.
Please join me in welcoming Jack, and don't forget to haze him in true TC fashion.
