Mather's Swing...
In the postgame interview, Mather told DOB that he worked on shortening his swing. Just watching his ABs last night, it seemed as though his swings were much more compact. Previously, there was a hitch before he started his swing which obviously made it difficult to catch up with a Major League fastball. Hopefully, his hot start is legit and the shorter, more compact swing is here to say. Here are the links...

Maybe a tad obvious
But Mather was the man until he got hurt. He was hitting like a 3rd round pick should. Now he’s hitting like a 3rd round pick, maybe our scouting department is just really good in some weird way. I mean “oh, lets go get mather off waivers because we love him even though he hasn’t hit in 3 years” and now he’s raking.
I love phenoms. Some of my favorite include Frason Freeward, Bratt Rymes, and Isaaron Murrell.

This guy named Mather
is beginning to matter. With all the injuries, we needed someone to step up. I hope he continues to play well, at least until some of the others heal, or begin to hit.

I nominate HEYJUDE
for best sig of the year…
Don’t worry about older women until you turn 22. It’s called the Saltalamacchia.

Good catch
Just from watching the two videos, its clear he’s changed his swing. The two big things I
noticed were:
1. His hands are lower
2. He turned his slight leg kick into a more manageable toe-tap.
I’ve got Jack Johnson and Tom O’Leary waiting for ya, right here
His look at the plate reminds me somewhat of Frenchy.
However, a taller, better form, and gives me more hope …version.
I’m rooting for him to be successful.
The more hits he gets, the more confidence he will gain and we could see him have a great year.
