Fangraphs on Kimbrel and Venters
Watching the exploits of Atlanta’s dynamic duo – Jonny Venters and Craig Kimbrel – reminds me of another former 1-2 punch that was dominating during its time. Duane Ward and Tom Henke ruled high-leverage situations for the Toronto Blue Jays, and it was their success that helped the club win back-to-back World Series championships in 1992 and 1993.
Just forecasting dominance...not a big deal.

Venters is the best LH reliever in the game. Still worry about how much longer he is going to hold up given his workload
"It's going to be strange watching There's Something About Mary again, knowing Brett Favre was the biggest stalker of them all"
Different Strokes for Different Folks and all that
but Remlinger had 4 consecutive seasons of 70+ appearances for us around 2000 and seemed to get better every year. Sure, there were differences between the 2, but it’s not impossible that Venters can hold up under the workload.
why does it seem we just pitch these guys till injury?
do closers normally make less appearances than setup men?
