Proctor to rejoin Braves on Sunday...
Until I read the article, announcing on Thursday that he'll rejoin the Braves on Sunday seemed like writing on the wall for Linebrink, and that the Braves were going to give him a few days to see if any other clubs had interest in him. After reading the article, I think the Braves are going to option Gearrin back to the Minors and showcase Proctor for awhile. I'm ok with that, but not at the expense of Gearrin. Only time will tell...

Said that a couple of teams have inquired about trading for Proctor, but he wanted to stay with the Braves.

and the agreement the Braves made was that if teams showed interest and he chose to stay with the Braves, he would be called up by May 15.

Actually,
not exactly true. That is the first day they could bring him up, since they cut him in ST. He would either be brought up by the day, traded if so desired before that day, or could be granted a release by that day, if not on the roster (25 man).
Replacing Linebrink for Proctor makes sense I guess, replacing Gearring for Proctor is crazy.

There have been a few roster decisions that havent made sense this year (mather being called up, hicks starting the season on the roster, not eating enough of KK’s salary to ship him off, not signing a better OF bench bat) and this one will be another one to chalk up to that list. I hope I’m wrong, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Just Beachy here. How 'bout you?
Jim Powell said on the radio tonight he didn’t see anyway they’d take Gearrin off the roster, but I don’t know how much oomph that carries.
