That's the percentage of runs the Braves have been scoring off of homers (40/110). I have not looked up the statistics for the average team, but my guess is this is above average, and unsustainable if they are to win.
A Game-by-Game breakdown:
Mar 31: W, 2-0 over WSH (solo home run) 1/2 on homers
Apr 2: L, 3-6 to WSH (2 solo home runs) 2/3 on homers
Apr 3: W, 11-2 over WSH (no homers) 0/11 on homers
Apr 4: W, 2-1 over MIL (2 solo home runs) 2/2 on homers
Apr 5: L, 0-1 to MIL (shutout by Gallardo) 0/0 on homers
Apr 6: L, 4-5 to MIL (3-run homer) 3/4 on homers
Apr 7: L, 2-4 to MIL (no homers) 0/2 on homers
Apr 8: W, 6-3 over PHI (no homers) 0/6 on homers
Apr 9: L, 2-10 to PHI (no homers) 0/2 on homers
Apr 10: L, 0-3 to PHI (no homers, obviously) 0/0 on homers
Apr 12: W, 5-0 over FLA (2 solo homer runs) 2/5 on homers
Apr 13: L, 1-5 to FLA (no homers) 0/1 on homers
Apr 14: L, 5-6 to FLA (3-run homer, solo homer) 4/5 on homers
Apr 16(1): W, 4-2 over NYM (4 solo homers) 4/4 on homers
Apr 16(2): W, 4-0 over NYM (no homers) 0/4 on homers
Apr 17: L, 2-3 to NYM (solo homer) 1/2 on homers
Apr 18: L, 2-4 to LAD (no homers) 0/2 on homers
Apr 19: W, 10-1 over LAD (3-run homer, 2-run homer, 2 solo homers) 7/10 on homers
Apr 20: L, 1-6 to LAD (no homers) 0/1 on homers
Apr 21: L, 3-5 (12) to LAD (solo homer) 1/3 on homers
Apr 22: W, 4-1 over SFG (no homers) 0/4 on homers
Apr 23: W, 5-3 over SFG (no homers) 0/5 on homers
Apr 24: W, 9-6 (10) over SFG (3-run homer, solo homer) 4/9 on homers
Apr 25: L, 3-5 to SDP (solo homer) 1/3 on homers
Apr 26: W, 8-2 over SDP (3-run homer, 2-run homer, solo homer) 6/8 on homers
Apr 27: W, 7-0 over SDP (no homers) 0/7 on homers
Apr 29: L, 3-5 (11) to STL (2 solo homers) 2/3 on homers
Apr 30: L, 2-3 to STL (no homers) 0/2 on homers
Also, having 75% of their homers (breakdown below) being solo shots is not helping.
Solo homers: 21 (21 runs)
2-run homers: 2 (4 runs)
3-run homers: 5 (15 runs)
Grand slams: 0 (0 runs)
Just an interesting piece. Could be meaningless. I would like to know what the Braves average with RISP is, and what the average team scores most of their runs on (or the homer % of the 2010 Braves). If anyone has this, it would be appreciated. Hope this is interesting.
