The home opener is 72 hours away and the anticipation is huge. I'm extremely pumped! I've been planning for this for months now. I was able to get 12 tickets together for me and my group on the day individual tickets went on sale. I'm glad I did because tickets for Friday's game are basically gone. Our tailgate group should be at about 12 or 14. My group will be in 315L and I'll be in Hank Aaron Section 107 (courtesy of the generous Bullet Bob Turley... a customer of mine) and will try to send in a "View From Your Seat." I'm going down for the Sunday afternoon game with my ol' man as well.
Anyways, I wanted to feel out to see who else was heading to the game. I'm going to have a decent sized tailgate going with my Weber Grill (regrettably not the Big Green Egg... bummer), set of Braves corn hole boards, and my Braves Beer Pong Table. I'm heading down at noon to try to get a lawn spot in the green lot. A lawn spot is necessary to be able to use a grill. I don't understand that, but it is what it is. I also don't understand why they won't let you set up any tents in the parking lot. Ridiculous. Anyone know why?
I'll be in my red Nissan Titan... tinted windows, and a Braves decal on the back window. If you see me, stop over and let's have a beer. Anyone else headed down to Turner for Home Opener Weekend?
A couple more questions:
1. Anyone know what time the parking lots open?
2. Last year, all the parking lots were permit only. I have three permits but may have four cars. Anyone know if the policy is the same as last?
If you're a Braves fan, have been to Turner Field, and this link doesn't get the blood flowing, there is something wrong with you:
