There's nothing like a sweep to help a team's fan confidence. The Atlanta Braves completed their first sweep of the 2011 season last weekend, taking three games from the Giants in San Francisco. In some ways that sweep was a measure of satisfying revenge against the team that booted the Braves from last year's postseason.
This week's Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Level jumped from 69% a week ago to 75% this week, though that is still down 10% from where the confidence level started the season at (85%).
Taking two out of three against the Padres this week earned the Braves their first back to back series wins of the year, and helped them finish their grueling ten game west coast road trip with a winning record (6-and-4), and brought their season record up to .500, with 13 wins and 13 losses.
The Braves will enjoy a much needed off-day today before opening up a three-game series against the Cardinals at Turner Field this weekend. Another series win and the fan confidence should continue its march upward.
