David Purcey looking to be dealt
David Purcey is a former 1st round pick, is 29 and could be needing a change of scenery (coach) to put him on the right track. He is a solid K pitcher (who can be prone to walks) and his WHIP isn't great but last year was a superb year for him. 3.71 ERA, 3 HR's given up over 34 IP. 8.5 K/9 w/ 2.13 K/BB rate was pretty darn good. He can be a long reliever (started earlier in his career) and he has had success at the MLB level. Oh and he's not completely washed up. Getting out of the AL Beast may be just what he needs to realize his potential. Thoughts? It really shouldn't cost us too much to pick him up.
