It's J.C. Boscan time.
Second to last game in Florida for the Braves, as they host the Phillies at Champion Stadium. And this one's televised on MLB Network, if your provider carries it. Mine doesn't. :( I know Spring Training results don't mean a lot to a lot of people, but I certainly hope the recent sloppy play isn't going to be indicative to how the Braves are going to start the season. But anyway, here's the lineup:
-
Martin Prado, LF
- Nate McLouth, CF
-
Chipper Jones, 3B
-
Dan Uggla, 2B
-
Jason Heyward, RF
-
Eric Hinske, 1B
- Alex Gonzalez, SS
- J.C. Boscan, C
-
Kenshin Kawakami, SP
Yep, your eyes doth not deceive you - Kenshin Kawakami is indeed starting the game. With Minor being optioned to AAA, Kenshin's getting essentially one last chance to make or break; either he proves himself capable of generating some outs against the Phillies lineup, and another club immediately whisks him away from us for the high cost of a useful chip and salary relief, or he gets obliterated by the Phillies lineup, and justifies everything while he goes back to the obscurity of AA-Mississippi. Anyway, enjoy.
