Braves Spring Training Game 26

The Braves take on the Mets again in Port St. Lucie. Tommy Hanson will hang back at Disney and pitch in a minor league game. He's battling a little bit of back discomfort, so as a precaution the Braves are allowing him to forgo a long bus ride. This shouldn't be too much of a cause for concern, Hanson is still going to pitch six innings in the minor league game.

  1. Martin Prado, LF
  2. Alex Gonzalez, SS
  3. Jason Heyward, RF
  4. Dan Uggla, 2B
  5. Freddie Freeman, 1B
  6. David Ross, C
  7. Joe Mather, CF
  8. Ed Lucas, 3B
  9. Kenshin Kawakami, P

Mather will get a solid test in center field today. Though what we really need out of him is a strong finish to the spring at the plate. He's hitting just .111 (4-for-36).

No "Atlanta" TV today, but we can still complain about what a terrible announcer Brian Jordan is. It actually might be more tolerable listening to the SNY Mets announcers ... might be.
