Braves Quote For The Day ... Kenshin Kawakami Is In Camp

Well I'll be damned. I never thought Kenshin Kawakami would actually make it to Braves camp. Beat writer Mark Bowman brings up the memory of another pitcher to describe Kawakami's time with Atlanta:

Through the first two years of this deal the Braves have paid Kawakami  $1.79 million per win.  Considering there's a good possibility that he never pitches again in Atlanta, that number will likely look even more Hampton-esque before it's all said and done.

At this point he's sort of persona non grata to the Braves. I'm with Jeff Schultz, who is baffled as to "why" the Braves invited him to camp.
