From Buster Olney's blog this morning:
A scout watched him move around left field for a couple of games and came away impressed by Martin Prado, who shifted from the infield after Atlanta acquired Dan Uggla. "Like a duck taking to water," the scout said.
I'm convinced that Prado can do just about anything you ask him to do on a baseball diamond and be good at it. Tonight will be Prado's first night game this spring, and that is something that Prado tells Olney he needs to get some experience in: catching fly balls in a dark or darkening sky. The Braves only have three other night games this spring (one in Atlanta). Strangely, and I just realized this, all three of the first regular season games in Washington will be one o'clock games.
Later in the article, Olney mentions this:
Diory Hernandez has been impressive
Humm. Take Ed Lucas down a notch. Don't ever count out Diory. (I'm still rooting for Lucas. I just love his flexibility to play so many positions. MTM tomorrow.)
