Spring Training Road Trippin'

Hey guys and gals...

Today is an exciting day in baseball and everyone is starting to get a touch of cabin fever. I wanted to send a feeler out to see if there are many of you that have experience with the Braves' Spring Training facility and smaller details on how to make a trip successful. I'm looking for suggestions for hotel accommodations, rental car need, closeby must-see restaurants/bars, or maybe even some food you thought was awesome at the stadium itself. How about some stories or tips on the facility itself to make the most out of our trip next month? CB is usually the best at this.

My fiance and I live in Atlanta and making the drive is something we are planning on. Any places we should hit on the way down? It's a very boring drive as far as I know but any suggestions would be really helpful. We are really into food and trying new things and places. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Man vs Food destinations are usually a staple in any trip we take.

The past three years, we been to a couple facilities: Pirates (Sarasota), Red Sox (Fort Myers), and the Yankees (Tampa). If anyone was heading to any of these stadiums, I'd love to give you my thoughts on them if you thought they would be of any help. For any of you looking to start a cool tradition, heading to spring training for a weekend comes highly recommended from me. It's a great experience.

We just bought a new Canon T2i so hopefully I can bring back some good photos for you all that can't make it down this year. Ok, with all that being said, does anyone have any Braves' Spring training help for me?

Thanks!

Branden
