Ahh, what the heck. Josh Hamilton is a free agent next year. Should the Braves try to sign him?
Not going to type a whole article on this, but Hamilton does hit free agency and if the Rangers do not sign him to an extension (which is likely), should the braves go after him for a big outfield bat? The thing that sucks is that since he a had a down year this season, if he does great this coming season, his value will sky rocket and it might be too much for us to afford.
So should we try and make a run for him? Your thoughts.

I laughed
And I don’t even get it.
My buddy and I just decided that the braves would be set if we could get Matt Kemp, Jose Reyes, and Albert Pujols.

I feel this is even more applicable

"We did a lot of good things last year, and now we've got Julio ... That does nothing but improve the offense, and we expect to do better. That's our goal, to lead the NFL in everything. Every offensive category." -Roddy White
If all else fails, there’s always cereal guy.

"The Braves could use [Loney] at first base to help back up Freddie Freeman, and in return the Dodgers could get Tommy Hanson from the Braves."

"Welcome to the show, Brandon Beachy. I think you’re going to stay a while."
First off, he will be extended (TWSS). Second, if he isnt he will be signed to a 5-6 years deal worth over 100M. Neither of these things indicate the Braves have any real chance. it would be great, as he would be perfect for us in LF (he could also play RF or CF if those players need a day off)

I think there are better free agent possibilities at that price.
He’s not young at all and it will take a lot of years and $$$ as this is basically his only payday. I’d rather go for a younger big money free agent (for example, Fielder if he was an OF in good physical shape).
According to several TC posters...
you can’t “TWSS” yourself…believe me…ha.

you also can’t triple stamp a double stamp, but i’ve done it….because i am a rebel and the rules don’t apply to me

Wouldn't that be a sextuple stamp?

Can we just
make a 2012 offseason rosterbation thread?
I feel like after this Bowman report we are going to get a ton of these little posts popping up. We already have 2 in the last 2 days smh.
Next will be Victorino and Eithier.
I think it’s a little early for speculation about free agents a year from now but anyway…
We need to be realistic, folks. The days of the Braves being major players in the free agent market are LONG gone. Other than the unfortunate Lowe signing you can make a case that the Braves have basically said “Pass” on every free agent class since Greg Maddux was first signed to be a Brave. Well, at least in terms of big name signings that is. When was that – 1992? That’s a LONG time. I see no evidence at all that anything has changed with the Braves. The Braves will never go after Hamilton, without getting into whether they should or not.
Unless Texas wins the World Series in 2012 I also think there is a decent chance they’ll extend him, but they may not do it until after the playoffs. If they win the World Series they may let him leave to save money.
with all due respect

it depends on the next owner. i think an owner with deep pockets AND who likes to win will work the FA market in the future.

One Word
NO
Christina Kahrl wrote an article praising a Braves player. Clearly she wants to get fired from ESPN.
You lose the game.
If we can land [Stephen Drew], I will give FW a bj.

i think victorino is the best possibility
….to do a face plant in centerfield
….to come out with a gaudy clothingline
….to have a beer poured over his head
….to run outside the basepaths & blatantly interfere with the defender
