There is a great outpouring of support today for one of the great guys in the Braves blogosphere. Mac Thomason of Braves Journal let everyone know that his cancer is back. One of the best writeups about Mac and what he has meant to so many Braves fans is from Hardball Talk's Craig Calcaterra. His quote from this article sums up perfectly how a Braves fan should fight cancer.
Treat cancer like Chipper treats the Mets. Make it your bitch and then name your kid after the place it lives.
I haven't had much time to write about this today, but Craig did a great job of covering how I feel. I'm also not very good at this kind of writing -- I usually say the wrong thing.
Cancer is a scary mofo. I had a slight brush with it a few months ago, but it ended up just being something different and probably less scary. I can't begin to imagine what Mac has gone through, or what he's about to go through, and I'd like to be able to help him however I can. There's a place on his website where you can donate to help him with the ever present cost of his condition, and I believe there is also an effort afoot to do some other stuff and try to get the Braves organization involved.
I was excited to have Mac write for the Braves Annual last year. He penned a couple of great articles, including this one about cursed Braves closers ... which unfortunately may need some updating.

My thoughts are with Mac as he fights this thing.
