My favorite thing about this postseason: even though they lost, the Yankees put the same lineup out there for every game in the divisional series against Detroit. Detroit, aside from Kelly being put in for an aging Ordonez, also kept the same players in the field.
Atlanta, for too long now, has relied on non-everyday players in their outfield positions. There is constant talk about "utility" guys on this board but that's not what the Braves need, not now, not ever. It's always nice to have guys who can come off the bench and provide a once in every 5 game break for a dude like Chipper Jones but outside of him and McCann, the Braves, as an elite team, should have their guys in the lineup for at least 150 games per year.
Bourne, Freeman, Heyward & Uggla (and we'll throw in McCann & Chipper) are guys that can do this on the current roster IMO. That means the Braves need to get better personnel at SS and LF if they are going to really contend. Otherwise they're just a team relying on scraps to make it over the top...won't happen.
