I have to give some major props to all the guys involved here with making Talking Chop work.
You guys make me appreciate the game of baseball even more than I already did. And because of your great work covering the minor leagues (my favorite feature of the site is the nightly Minor League updates) I have been able to follow all the upcoming stars that the Bravos have.
I have gone to other SB Nation baseball sites and none of them come close to the work that is put into this one. Not only that but the site is very user friendly.
And with that I would like to introduce a nickname suggestion for Martin Prado. Martin "The Hitting Machine" Prado. I think it goes well with the pronounciation of his first name.

Lets be honest, I am always honest and this site could be better. We can use a few more power hungry moderators on here that strip us of our right to freedom of speech.
I love it when all us mods are lumped as one gigantic middle finger of censorship
But of course this blog could be better. We all could be better. Those who settle, and never aspire to improve, are simply wasting their lives.

You have no “right” to freedom of speech here – this place is a community that is run by individuals who get to say who stays and who goes. Since they maintain the place with no expense to us, that is their actual right. And the “right” to freedom of speech isn’t that you can say whatever you want with impunity, it’s that the Government will not arrest you for saying anything (with the exception of “fire” in a movie theater, etc.). No one from the gov’t has come to your house to arrest you for saying offensive/annoying things on the internet, have they? I didn’t think so.

This is a daily must-read for me – love this site, all the info, opinions, and stories about the Braves. Looking through the other SB Nation blogs, NONE of them seem to have the community that we have here at TC – you guys gotta see that as a testament to the hard work and dedication y’all have put in to this site over the years.

Pretty similar to out here when the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl. I had literally met three Cardinals fans before their run in ‘09…and then all of a sudden all these fans popped out of nowhere. It’s magic or something!

Actually, it's about the same most everywhere.
I was a bartender in the lobby bar of the hotel (it’s changed names so many times I don’t know it now) on the corner Capitol and Georgia Avenues in the 1980s. People would come in to drink before attending games at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (Braves and Falcons), but never go. Me and another guy used to score free tickets all the time and go over on our lunch break. After the Braves’ 1991 season and whatever year the Falcons went to the Superbowl, fans came out of the woodwork and jumped on the bandwagon. Nothing really wrong with it, just pointing it out in fairness.

Maybe Braves don't seem to have many bandwagoners because so many people jumped on the Bandwagon in the early 90's and stayed there.

you do realize that this place was barren a view seasons ago and that you only joined last year right?…when a team doesnt do well it has less fans…like when the Braves dont do well there are less fans…the same is true for the Phillies. When they suck they follow other sports…Some fans ride through the tough years, because it makes the other years better, so fans don’t. Its not a phenomenon that is exclusive to one team’s fans.

Talking Chop has been continuously improving for a long time now. It’s not as if the performance of the site was great before the team started to miss the playoffs, it was relatively new then.

You do realize I found the site last year right? It’s not like I said, “Oh hey, the Braves are winning so now I’ll join a blog”. It’s just a matter of me finding the blog. To be honest, I only used MLBTR and I e-mailed the guy and asked what was a good Braves blog. He said “I hear good things about Talking Chop, and Capital Avenue Club has great analysis.” and then I joined

The funny thing is? mastermike/themaster/whatever his next handle will be is really Chipper Jones in disguise.
