Quick Break down:
Prado's numbers are not better than Infante's leading off but they are better than his other numbers anywhere else. Infante's numbers, pretty much across the board, are very similar which implies that you bat him anywhere, in any situation, and he's going to hit. Jason needs players on base to get hits. He needs motivation and he gets motivation from RBI chances. He is the best hitter with runners on and even better with RISP. I think it makes sense to play players in a position where you get the best out of that player. And right now that's not happening.

Personally, I'd go...
…Infante, Prado, Heyward. Infante is mostly a singles hitter, while Prado has more power, and Heyward has the most power of the three. On the other hand, I can see why we would want the current lineup—-going R-L-R makes it tougher for other teams to use situational relievers in late innings. Especially when McCann usually bats fourth and Lee fifth, making our lineup start R-L-R-L-R.
Well it's either that,
or bench him.
Our crappy lucky team is better than your good unlucky team.

He's having a horrible August...
Finished the month with a measly .936 OPS. He’s doing even worse in September, just OPSing .928.

It’s rough to sit through these games and not have someone that can’t hit a Ball?
I was hoping he had an honest answer
although who knows how he’d come up with one that made any sense.
in any case,
we got three pretty dang good hitters at the top of our lineup, anyway you line ’em.
I like people until I meet them.
I don't know about dropping Heyward to the Bench but...
I like the idea of him hitting third.
I agree with Heyward hitting third but as someone else pointed out Prado should hit 2nd with him having more power than Infante who is just basically a soft liner into no-mans land kind of hitter.
If Derrick Lee is truly heating up then we can bat him clean-up and McCann 5th where he should be.
Infante
Prado
Heyward
Lee
McCann
Gonzalez
McLouth
Diaz
He does not need motivation. Over the course of the history of baseball, most players hit better with runners on compared to not, and certainly left-handers. Defense move around a bunch when runners are on to hold players on base or get closer to the bag for double plays.

2nd hitter is involved in run production more so than the third hitter, we’re doing it correct right now even if it is accidental.

That’s why I don’t like basing it off of history. If you look at their numbers it would be worth a try my way. Only looking at this season these three players would probably thrive in that order. Luckily though… Prado’s actually been getting hits with RISP lately. So I’m cool if it keeps working. But if we go stale again… maybe switch it up.
