People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. Now if we can send them Lowe this year (they need an innings eater behind CC, Hughes, and I guess Burnett), and then just resign Javy to a 1 yr deal. He’ll do fine back in Atlanta under Fredi.

How?...

saved money, they go nothing worth it out of Vazquez and Logan didn’t do anything either. Dunn as good or better than Logan, but younger and cheaper with more years of arb left. Melky and Vazquez both stunk at their new spots and the former clubs got as good or better from what they had in the same positions for the year, then add Arodys who may or may not be healthy enough to make it all the way.

Gotya.

People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again.

Question: Can a pitcher give up a run in a non-save situation and then end up getting the save?

No.

2.5 up

September: Month of the Braves Swan Song

by kp.atl on Sep 29, 2010 7:31 PM EDT up reply actions

yeah, but with the series against the Giants they would almost have to sweep them. That would help us as well.

by mdhenshaw on Sep 29, 2010 7:32 PM EDT up reply actions

we would be 2.5 up w/ 2 as our magic #

by nayrb23 on Sep 29, 2010 7:31 PM EDT up reply actions

and since they play san fran this weekend that would really help if San fran didn’t clinch by this weekend

Yes. 86-76.

They were 86-70 before losing the last 6 games in the season in a row.

This!

After seeing this team lose the NL East lead and then the Wild Card I almost lost hope but this team never gave up and will see them in October.

If the Braves win the WC, it’s the Reds who they’ll play. So whatever fans are wishing is irrelevant.

Not true really

The WC team plays the second best record among division winners in the league and right now that is the Giants. And between the Giants and the Reds, I would much rather face the Reds cause they don’t have the pitching the Giants do
