For the rest of the season we'll keep a daily tally of the Atlanta Braves chances of making the post season, along with daily commentary. Also consider this a daily open thread for general chatting.

The "2010 Braves" finally showed up again last night. Boy did the Braves ever need that comeback, and that win. The Braves keep pace with Philly and San Fran who both also won last night. For those interested in the Wild Card standings, here you go:
The margin of error right now seems to be so slim, but of course there is still a lot of baseball left to be played. Nonetheless, the Braves don't want to have to rely on other teams to lose in order to make the playoffs, the Braves want to be in the drivers seat.
A glimmer of hope for more offensive help may actually be coming from Nate McLouth. Yes, Nate McLouth. The once-cast-off center fielder is hitting .333/.353/.533 since returning the last day of August. Yes, it's a very small sample size, but not only are the hits a good sign for him, but only one strikeout in 18 plate appearances is even more encouraging. Getting more offense out of center field would be a huge boon to this team.
