Braves Quote For The Day ... Freddie!

This is the kind of thing that us fans love to experience with the players:

"Well I finally got a hit," Freddie said. (He’s been 0-for-5 on Sunday, and went 1-for-4 on Monday.)

"Well that’s good," Fred said. "Maybe you’ll get a few more tomorrow."

"I need to be more focused," Freddie said. "…because I just got called up."

I'm glad they let us into these moments every once in a while. Oh, and Freddie Freeman is in the lineup tonight, hitting sixth. Oh yeah!

  1. Omar Infante SS
  2. Jason Heyward RF
  3. Martin Prado 3B
  4. Brian McCann C
  5. Eric Hinske LF
  6. Freddie Freeman 1B
  7. Brooks Conrad 2B
  8. Rick Ankiel CF
  9. Tommy Hanson P

I love that he's starting!!!! THANK YOU BOBBY!!!!

This is a really weird lineup

Different that what we're used to seeing,

but don’t know about “weird.” It’s lefty-heavy against the right-handed starter. Giving A-Gon and D. Lee a day off, too.

I’m anxious to see if J-Hey can finally get a hit off of Pelfrey, and to see what FF does. Also hope Heap continues to rip Pelfrey.

Yes, Weird means different, unnatural, or strange and out of the ordinary

Literally,

weird is more like “strikingly” different, bizarre, freakish or supernatural; not just “different.”

Eating lasagna for breakfast may be considered “different,” but eating fescue grass would be “weird.”

Regardless, point taken. Didn’t mean to sound like an ass. My bad.

At the same price for each,

considering they about cost the same this year, and would both be arb eligible, I’d take Melky. Better D, younger, better year at the plate, better history healthwise.

But Werth is a scumbag. As much as he’s capable of producing, I just don’t think he’s the kind of material that the organization will want representing them.
