Braves sign 24th-rounder Evan Danieli?
Evan Danieli, the Braves' 24th-round pick out of Notre Dame, has showed up on the Danville Braves roster. He was considered to be a bit of a difficult sign, as he'd missed significant parts of his junior season having Tommy John surgery.

I like it...
big righty, could be solid going forward. I really wish they’d add Sabol and Alvord. Alvord just because it doesn’t seem right for the Braves to draft 0 guys out of GA high schools. And Sabol because he seems to have done really well over the summer and could be a guy who becomes a top pick after 3 years at Oregon.
Damn it, meant to include links on Danieli...

His numbers aren’t good, especially the walks, but they describe his stuff as…
imposing presence who is noted for ability to consistently repeat his pitching motion and for his devastating curveball … throws tight, late-breaking and well-controlled curve that can be legitimate “out pitch” … also has a heavy, over-the-top fastball that touches the low-90s, plus a developing changeup and slider … benefits from loose arm and downward angle to the plate

Evan was one of the top premier pitchers along with his teammate Rick Porcello at Seton Hall Prep (high school in West Orange, NJ). In 2007 Danieli was one of the most feared pitchers in state of NJ but Rick was the most feared in the whole nation.
The Braves made a very savvy move by signing a guy who is fresh off of Tommy John Surgery and a guy who can throw a bit harder with newer muscle ligaments in his elbow.
