The Auditory Pleasure of Heyward's Bat

I mulled over the sound of Heyward's bat for the umpteenth time last night after the game, and as great as it sounds on TV, it sounds so much better in person. When JHey keeps the ball in play, it seems like he makes incredibly hard contact - but does he make the hardest contact? Is the crack of his bat misleading or is he really crushing the ball damn near every time he makes contact? Furthermore, is there is resource that measures each player's bat speed? I would be interested to see his high, low, and median bat speed. At best we may uncover the mystique behind JHey's bat sound, and at the very least I've now created a central thread for us all to lament upon the beauty of the sound. Irrevocably yours, Dustin Pumm (DuPu)
