Now that the dust has settled...

I wanted to look at the numbers (only the ones put up in a Braves uniform) of the players we traded away/ banished this year, and the ones who now call Atlanta home (at least the Ted is their home park). The two noticeable spots of course are were the changes in CF and SS.

                           Avg/OBP/OPS/ HR's/ RBI's

Esco- .238/.334/.618   with 0 and 19 in 75 games

A-Gon- .267/.329/.769  with 4 and 22 in 41 games

McLouth- .168/.279/.544  with 3 and 14 in 62 games

Ankiel- .205/.295/.616 with 1 and 7 in 24 games

Basically, from those two spots, we had a line of .203/.306/.581 with 3 hrs and 33 RBI's. Now those two spots are producing at .236/.312/.692 with 5 hrs and 29 rbi's. Of course, neither of those lines are very good (especially when you're avergaing/combining two players), but an upgrade is an upgrade in my book.

Now, we've already hashed out all the "great moves Braves vs. Frank Wren is an idiot" talk. Thats not the purpose of this post. It's just something that I was thinking about yesterday, and I figured others may be interested in a side-by-side comparison.

The only thing that comes close to my love for the Braves, is my hatred of the Phillies. YSR
