PrintThe only Braves prospect listed on this week's Baseball America Prospect Hot Sheet is pitcher Brandon Beachy. For those who don't know, Beachy was undrafted out of Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008 and signed with the Braves. Since then he's rocketed through the Braves system and firmly established himself as one of the organizations top-5 pitching prospects this season. Money quote from BA:
Triple-A hasn't slowed down the 23-year-old, who in his last two starts has a 13-0 K-BB mark with three runs allowed in 11 innings

He’s such a great guy. Awesome to see the success he’s had. Pretty neat to be able to say I was at his first start this year.

I’m thinking that we will be seeing Beachy and Diamond in spring training next season. Hopefully Stephen Marek will get a look at some point as well.

It had to be done.
Anyway, that was a great watch (though it didn’t tell me the main thing I wanted to know, but we won’t get into that). I hope we see him up in the bigs in the near future!
Cool interview. Can’t wait to see what he can do next year. I twas funny when a guy on some blog named BB his #33 best prospect & everyone got on his case saying he shouldn’t even be in the top #100. The guy came form a tiny school & has been pitching great. Im sure he’s not the 1st guy un drafted to turn into a good prospect.
Whatever happened to the Mid-Season Community top 30 list?
Pre Season list is still shown on the home page. I ranked Beachy 8th and felt like a fool. Not anymore!
