Atlanta Braves Fan Confidence Poll
If it's Monday, then it's the Atlanta Braves fan confidence poll "Classic." As always, this poll and therefore your confidence level should encompasses several areas of the team. These areas include, but are not limited to, the team’s ownership, current management, talent, minor-league system, and general playing ability on the field. The poll will stay open for 48 hours, and then the results will be posted and graphed against the previous weeks.

Still a 10
Even after the recent rough stretch, we are 2.5 games in front of the Philies. We made some moves to bolster our current roster without giving away any real value and protecting our future. We have a lot of home games coming up. We are on the right path, not only for this year but beyond.
Still an 8
Entirely confident that the bats will wake up and the Braves will actually get another RBI hit before the season ends.
Heyward is pretty good
post deadline disappointment 6
The team is hitting awfully, losing road games left and right, and the best the GM could manage to upgrade the offense was to get Rick Ankiel. I guess it’ll be nice having a rotation of elite prospects 3 years from now, but I would have preferred to win a championship this year by trading one or more of them to get a big time bat.
I don’t think we needed to get the big bat. We just need to hit with RISP. Our pitching is fine and the bullpen is stronger than it was, with the addition of Farnsworth and the trading of Chavez.. It was already top-notch. Ankiel is a much better everyday player than Melky, although I like Melky coming off the bench. We have upgraded what was already the best bench in the Major Leagues. We can now rest Glaus a little more often. I liked the moves Wren made. we did improve this year’s club and have not traded away the future at the same time.
My first 6 ever
can i go back to my normal 8 soon?
Atlanta Hawks=the team that drafted big $$$$$$$$$ instead of big men.
I moved down this week. I am very disappointed with our deadline moves (or lack thereof) and we are seriously going to miss Prado. Yes, I just said that.

I don’t dispute that. But it is totally irrelevant to this conversation.
Don’t tell me that you would not love to have KJ on the team this year.

Still a 9.
I doubt many of us would have had us at 2.5 games up in August at the beginning of the season.
I expected us to be close to first in both the NL East and Wild Card race. I figured we’d have a great shot at making the playoffs. To be sitting in the top position in the division is worthy of a 9, I think.

Offense needs to turn it around. Glaus is slumping bad and it’s killing us.
However, pitching has been outstanding, I was really encouraged to see that start from Tommy Hanson yesterday. It was definitely one his best outings of the year and a step in the right direction.
Also, I love our farm system.
Kawakami - 1, Halladay - 0
Still a 9.
The road trip was just a minor bump in the road. The Braves have 19 home games this month, and the nine road games are against some mediocre teams. As for Troy Glaus, I’m sure he’ll turn his fortune around this month.
The birth of Jason Heyward was God’s punishment for the sins of the people in New York and Philly.
Honestly.
Week-to-week how can anyone’s opinion change by more than one point either way?
I have continuously voted 8 since our climb out of the cellar in April and really the team, management, and MiL havent changed since so you really can only base your vote on one factor: playing ability.
The base paths belonged to me, the runner. The rules gave me the right. I always went into a bag full speed, feet first. I had sharp spikes on my shoes. If the baseman stood where he had no business to be and got hurt, that was his fault. -Ty Cobb
6 and falling...
Prado is hurt, Heyward isn’t hitting for power, Chipper can’t carry a team anymore, Glaus has been brutal and Lowe is a bum.
All that stuff said, we are still in first place so we control our own destiny so to speak so if they can get back on track over next few weeks the rating will go back up.
We have 14 of the next 17 games at home, with the only 3 road games at Houston next week which should be very winnable. In my opinion, we need to increase our lead back to the 5+ game area after this 17 game stretch or we are in serious trouble.
Lowe has been a bum since he came to Atlanta. He makes me appreciate Hudson that much more though...
God typed "iddqd" before creating Jason Heyward.
It's funny but I've continued to feel a 7 is just about right this whole season. I'm still not sold but I'm hopefull...

Rays, I believe. Texas is also up there, but the Lee trade hurt.

Iowa? Maybe Nebraska? Wisconsin?
Depends on what you’re looking for, really.
