Around SBN: How NBA Draft Lottery Results Affect Prospects' High Hopes

Wren said Glaus told him: "I know how this stuff works. Derrek Lee is going to play every day at first base. I’ve got to prove to you that I can still play third base. I feel much more comfortable there still. I feel I can do it."

Juicy stuff

Morton hit Heyward with an offspeed pitch. Early indication is that the baseball survived the impact.

Every player in the league should read this.

K-Ros may be a bit of an asshat when it comes to the rumor mill, but he still can churn out good journalistic pieces like this from time to time. Well done.

My opinion of Glaus increased greatly with this quote

I’ll always like Glaus—this just solidifies that decision. He’s willing to accept the inevitable and keep trying.

My favorite thing about Troy

Is anytime he gets a strike he doesn’t like; haha complains about every call. Either way, I’ve been a big Glaus fan this whole year seeing as he gives it his all and is a team player. Although I can see why there are many doubters that this is even possible I think he can do it. As long as he gets his knees back he’ll be a real threat

Good luck to Troy in regaining some agility to play 3B.

If we can make it to the playoffs, Glaus will be a big part of the bench, especially against lefties. I hope the rest is enough to get his bat (and maybe glove at 3B) going.

Definitely a team player

I'd say Troy

has certainly earned the opportunity to play in the ATL next year. I shudder to think of the numbers he would have put up with healthy legs all season.

Classic Braves

Troy Glaus leads by example and demonstrates one of the reasons why the Braves are what they are: they’re a team, and the players play that way and act that way. Over the years – well, the past twenty anyway, that I can remember – there have been very few non-team players in Atlanta. The ones who weren’t didn’t last long, whether or not they were talented.

The Braves run a class act, and I don’t think Schuerholz, Bobby and Wren get enough credit for that.

Does bringing Troy Glaus back mean Infante hits the bench again??

Just want this answered by some smart baseball guys…..This seems to be a good spot for this…If not the bench then where?

Theres only 13 guys who have won more game than me. So tell Steve Stone to go fuck himself.....Lou Pinella on being questioned about the lineup sportscaster Steve Stone thought he should use
