by Truthspitter on Aug 11, 2010 4:57 PM EDT up reply actions

Or a handle...

that’s pretty important too, especially if you lack the jumper. You can play SF with a good outside shot and no handle (see Courtney Lee, Kyle Korver, etc), or a good handle and no outside shot (see Andre Iguodola, etc), but not without both. Josh lacks both offensively, and the lateral quickness defensively. He’s got the game of a C, that is pretty obvious, if just not the size or toughness for it.

It's obviously never going to happen

but would be awesome if they amended the rules for getting a W to scorer’s discretion about which pitcher pitched most effectively, as they sometimes do with relievers now. that way, if something like this happened, and the braves won in extra innings, hanson could still be credited.

this would also increase the meaning of a W somewhat, even if it doesn’t compensate for lousy run support.

Just think what he could've done with those 14 division chamnpionships and Greg Maduxx, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz if he would've had the chance. And when he did have the chance, he outmanaged bobby Cox's @#$% at every turn. Or have you forgottenn that the Braves became the first time in baseball history to lose the World Series whenever they lead 3- 1? And whom did the lose too?
