Not all but some people complain what Wren has done. In my book, he has been fantastic. This is how I see his moves since last off season
Out: Mike Gonzo, Soriano, Javy, Esco
In: Mike Dunn, Troy Glaus, Matt Lipka, Billy Wagner, Eric Hinske, Takashi Saito, Sea Bass, Ankiel, Farnsworth, Viscaino, Pastornicky, Todd Cunningham
In and Out: Collins,Chavez
Just glad to get rid of: Jo Jo and Chavez
People honestly can't bitch about that. Sure Soriano has been great but he wasn't going to re sign any way and seemed to have a poor attitude. I haven't even heard Gonzo's name this whole year and we got Lipka and Cunningham out of it- B or B+
B/c we traded Javy, we got a awesome pitching prospect in Vizzy, got a great lefty reliever in Dunn. Braves also got $ to sign Glaus,Wags,Saito, Hinske. W/out those 4 I guarantee the Braves wouldn't be in 1st place. A+
Then with trading Esco you got a great defensive SS,great clubhouse guy in Sea Bass who is also having a career offensive year. Braves also in that deal got Pastornicky and Collins and got rid of Jo Jo which is great; and got rid of cancer Yunel (Wish him the best in Toronto). Then with Collins you essentially got a decent power CF in Ankiel and a great bullpen arm in Farnsworth. Did I mention you got rid of that one dude called Jesse Chavez. B+ or A-
Who knows, maybe even next year they can sign Javier, especially if they somehow get rid of KK/and or Lowe. Would be A++++++++++
What ya think?
