I've lived a great portion of my life as a very complacent person. Lazy, some people would say. But there was a moment earlier this year that I realized that maybe there was more going on in this world besides MLB.tv and XBox Live. What brought this thought on is unknown to me, but whatever it was it's caused me to take up my things and ascend the staircase of my mom's basement.
On the morning of Thursday, August 5th I will be making my long-overdue journey to the great Turner Field. The plan is to arrive in time for the Thursday affair (or at least part of it), and then attend the Glavine HOF induction the following day, only to set sail back to NOVA Saturday morning.
Perhaps those of you who have been to past ceremonies can give me some sort of idea on what to expect. I was planning on buying the cheapest seats available ($6 I believe) for Friday's game and then posting up on the CF railing to booze it up. Is this a viable option, or do I have to pay a separate fee for that area?
I'm torn between whether or not to get a hotel closer to the stadium which is more expensive, or cheaper and further away and using a cab (all things considered they'll probably end up costing about the same). Would appreciate any info on what is easier regarding arriving and leaving the stadium, and also if there are any nice places to catch a drink afterwards.
I thank you all in advance, my creepy internet friends, and would very much life to meet up with any of you should you be at the field on Thursday or Friday.
