Matt Young...a story told in Pictures
I was going through some shots from the Gwinnett Braves game on 7/7 and I saw this series and liked it a lot, so I figured I would share it with all of you. We know how great of a tear Matt has been on lately, but this really shows his hustle and his contributions to the team.
The pictures will tell the story after the jump.
Matt first gets on base by taking a ball to the elbow (which looked like it really hurt him).
He then steals 2nd on the next pitch. This is the series of his slide into 2nd. He was safe even after sliding past the bag.
Matt then moved to third on Wes Timmons hit and then came into score on the sacrifice fly. This guy does everything the team asks him to and I think it might be time to give him a shot in the majors. Blanco has been playing great, but this guy just brings that little guy with a chip on his shoulder mentality that would fit great with our team.

You always have amazing photos—can’t wait till your next post!
Jason Heyward is the reason that Chuck Norris parks his car in a garage.
Scroll through those pictures really fast and it looks like he’s really moving.

No doubt, that was a sweet series of pictures.
You mark that frame an 8, and you're entering a world of pain.
I want your camera.

That’s what I’ve heard. Is it true that the cameras don’t really make the quality of photo anymore, it’s more of the lens that you use?

If you’re talking about DSLR cameras then yes, the power is really in the lens. Don’t get me wrong, you can get cheaper bodies that won’t do the low light stuff with high ISO, but you can also get a great body and put a crappy lens on the front of it. Everyone I talk to says to invest in the lenses and not the bodies as you can always use the lens on any new body that comes out.
My wife has the Nikon D90 and I’m making her wait on getting a new lens. They cost more than the camera!!
Thanks…and yes the lenses cost more than the camera but they are worth more in the long run and hold their value a LOT more. I would suggest saving up before buying one and make sure you at least buy an f/2.8 lens or anything with a lower aperture than that. You’ll be glad you did in the long run.
This was so much better than it looked on TV. Great stuff man.
I wrote a novel, it's about baseball, you should buy it: https://www.createspace.com/3407939

Awesome.
Great pictures. I’m starting to like Matt Young a lot. I think he could be a great utility guy in the majors, in the Omar Infante mold. There’s got to be a place on some MLB club for him.

I agree with you. If the Braves can’t find a place for him on the big club then perhaps we can use him as trade fodder to another team for something we can use. However with the way Schafer is struggling we could give him a shot to play in CF for us while Schafer gets some more work in the minors to get back to 100%.
I wish he would get traded so he can get a shot at the Bigs. Blanco is playing great, but I’d rather have Matt Young.
